Early voting started this morning at the following locations:
- Alafaya Library
- Southwest Library
- South Creek Library
- West Oaks Library
- Apopka Community Center & VFW
- Southeast Library
- Winter Park Library
- Washington Park Library
- Supervisor of Elections Office (Kaley Ave.)
The Geraldine Thompson For State Senate Campaign (GFT) has pollwatchers
inside each of the polling places throughout the early voting period to monitor the official polling place activities and provide "eyes" for the campaign. Also, at least 1 pollworker is stationed
outside each polling place. So far we have been able to gather hourly counts and guarantee that there will be no unreported irregularities inside of the polling places. We've already had to call the SOE to report an irregularity. There is no history available for counts in the new District 12. Also, we should be able to monitor the impact of the Siplin Book Bag event on voting in the polling places where our folks are stationed. The Siplin campaign does not have pollwatchers.
To garner as much attention as possible, the Siplins have placed 6 pollworkers (outside workers) outside of the Supervisor of elections office, 5 outside of the Apopka Community Center & VFW, 2 at the West Oaks Library and 1 at the Winter Park Library. Let's see how long that continues throughout the remaining days of the early voting.. Remember, Senator Siplin is on record as saying that "my wife has already won the election!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSFvaCduOgI
We could use some support at the polling sites, especially at the SOE office, Apopka CC & VFW and West Oaks. Folks can come out for an hour or two starting tomorrow. It's really hot outside, so remember to bring water and sun screen. Call James Ferguson at 407-242-0773.
